mabey. the easiest way to keep changing the gamma ramp is to use powerstrip3. you can use hotkeys to increase and decrease the ramps at will

if you think it's easier for jabo to adjust this in his plugin than for you to adjust your monitor/card settings.... really. also could you figure out exactly what it is you think is wrong, that would help.

I don't think any of u get it, GAMMA DOSN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM!! i'm just trying to say there is a problem, isn't that what this forum is for?? and in this thread many people have agreed on the problem, so we can leave it here, that's fine with me, but the problem is NOT solved...:sleepy:

I totally agree - look at my two pics on the first page of this thread. starfox is much darker than mario kart and it shouldnt be.it isnt on the real n64.
the problem is not everybody wants to admit it.
I dont really mind if it gets fixed or not. just please admit it!

This emulator is donated to dedicated N64 gamers right? why is it a problem then, that someone remember and appreciate the way the games where originally meant to look and play...

The greatest victory for N64 fans and PJ64, is a teamwork on creating the perfect emulator, and to do this, we need to listen to each other.

Maybe Darkfox is no problem for Smiff ao. but it is for some of us who still remember the ol' Starfox days of the real N64, so please respect this, so we can help eachother bring this emulator all the way to the top and make the work on it easier for Witten, Jabo, Zilmar, or whomever trying to bring the N64 world to the PC.

and i agree rasmus. i hear people hurl abuse at companies who dont offer support for their products. (did any say 'thrustmaster'??)

now i know you are no company, but isnt your aim the most accurate and fastest emulator going?

Rasmus is right - we should work together

Project64 is OVER and even if it wasn't you haven't provided any useful information to help resolve this.

star fox is too dark
the sky is too dark
the ships are too dark
everthing is too dark.
turning up the gamma olny makes the brighter textures even brighter - which makes it even worse

When Falco asks for help in the first level of the game, do u see him in the depth of the picture Smiff?? I don't, and I did on the real N64... Problem: dark textures make him fall into the background....

I have that problem with StarFox too. The whole game is really dark. I turned up my nVidia settings but no go, still dark as night. Mario 64 however is so bright it strains my eyes.
