Yeah it's Gateway, but what an incredible price. A coworker of mine purchased one recently (part of a PC package) and he's really happy with it. I want a new television, I want a widescreen display, and I don't care for rear-projection CRTs. It's likely just a Gateway label on this thing; anyone know which company actually manufactures it?

Anybody who wants one bad enough can set up their own MythTV for much cheaper, and it wont have any content lockouts, which means more features that the windows media PC will never have. MythTV *also* supports every known media format out there, which the media center PC never will.

In fact, even easier and cheaper than mythTV is xbox media player, which already has more playback features than the media center PC. The only thing it can't do is record content, but that limitation is actualy about to dissapear soon.

Agree on all counts. I could care less about the PC they offer, but that plasma display looks very nice. After reading some reviews, it sounds like it's worth the money. Not the best display, but a very good one at least. Still wish I knew the manufacturer though. Need to do more research.
