I've developed three custom video plugins based upon Jabo's Direct3D7, specifically to combat the video issues presented by Perfect Dark, Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Zelda: Majora's Mask. I'd like to share them with everybody so they can have better graphical display, is there any place I can send them?

The modifications are:

Perfect Dark:-
>Improved framerate when a large number of polygons are being drawn (usually you'd get slowdown, even on reasonable spec PC)
>Lens flare effects with no cost to redraw and refresh rates (night vision, IR scanner and X-ray scanner all OK)

Zelda ocarina of time and Majora's Mask:-
Perfect framerate and refresh speed
Round fairy
Reduced clipping at boundary edges

Majora's mask only:
Improved framebuffer usage allowing motion blur effects
No loss of dynamic lighting.

PS. Thanks to Jabo for plugin source.

I wasn't aware that Jabo had released the source. Why three seperate plugins, and why use the older D3D7 source?

If it's legit you could attach the plugins on the board.

Jabo hasn't released the source and if this guy got it personally from Jabo, he wouldn't seem so clueless about how to release it. These are the one type of posts that are even more annoying than rom requests.

C'mon guys. Jabo probably didn't give them to him, you should let Jabo at least reply before you take anything which wasn't (likely) LEGALLY put together. Sheesh. :p

Rampage131: Feel free to rewrite your post using the insert key on your keyboard, after you've disabled Caps Lock. With other words, don't write posts in all capital letters, it's annoying. And watch your language.

Probably he's drunk or something... What has all that got to do with a not confirmed source plugin? I hope he didn't shot himself after he finished that post

Well, I really need a good graphics plug-in for Majora's Mask. Will I be able to use this one? Or can someone please link me to a good graphics plugin that works well with Majora's Mask?

I hardly recommend jabo's d3d6 v.1.4 plugin for Zelda: Majora's Mask. I have finished the game with this plugin and it works nearly perfect. Of course there are some flaws like the lightning errors in the well but besides the graphics are just fine.
There is just one particular problem with v1.4: The game always crashes with an error message on a certain point in the water temple. But I solved this problem by using jabo's d3d6 v1.5 during the temple. (You don't need the goron mask in this temple, so this problem won't occur as well)

I received a PM from Jabo. He has no idea who this guy is, and he did not release his source.

This is some kind of scam. :getlost:

I'm sure this guy was making a suggestion more than anything. Something like, wouldn't it be nice to have the source so that some of these issues can be corrected. That I believe was his point in the first place.

I wanted to avoid this thread because it's silly. However, it seems because I haven't released anything, or haven't posted in this forum consistently anymore, some think I'm not around.

I haven't given away anything I've worked on, willingly.. and this is what motion blur would actually look like in my plugin, I implemented midway through 2003, when I had that thing I liked to call free time. I realize most of the things I've done are probably done, or in the process, in other software which is nice to see others being successful. it means to me you'll be able to enjoy it long before I get to release it on my own terms.

Until that, enjoy, i'm also going to lock this thread now as I don't mean to encourage additional posting or discussion of this.
