NES games will start to fall unstoppably into public domain in 2135, assuming copyright laws don't change by then. =)

Well, in most of the EU, copyright durations are 50 years. The internet, being as free and open as it is, will create a very weak content barrier. Pong should make its way to the public domain in europe by 2020.

Ahh, here's some unoriginality for you.

Not only has Nintendo been relreleasing alot of SNES games for the GBA, I found atleast one NES game now that has been rereleased for NES.

Unfortunately, Defender of the Crown isn't exactly an NES highlight.

Actually, Defender of the Crown is an ANCIENT PC game.

I remember playing it FOREVER ago on a Tandy 1000 with a Hercules CGA and an 8086... or was it a 286? Still, it's old.

And it's a great game, IMO, if kinda confusing and pretty darn hard...

I'd say I have more fun now playing on my Dreamcast than I do on my PS2 or GameCube.

Yeah, I still play on my Dreamcast a lot. Especially with all the fr.. games I have. My 2 favourite games are Sega Sports Tennis 2k2 (Virtua Tennis 2) and ESPN Track and Field. Me and a mate yesterday sussed the Pole Vault and were jumping 6.90m+

personally i've been a bit out of the videogame scene, but thats what i think too, theres not much originality these days
i'm sick of hearing people saying the n64 was a disappointment though, even if the hardware wasnt the best it had awesome and very original games

i'm sticking to my pc right now, the last console i bought was my n64 6 years ago

I still stand by the thought that nintendo screwed themselves with the SNES, not because the system itself was bad, because it was so good! After you do an amazing uberconsole like that, there really is no way to out do yourself.

SNES still had more, and most of it was better, I have copies of all but 25 N64 games sitting on my slave drive, Mario 64, Zelda OoT, MM, Starfox 64. THose are more or less, N64 power seller games. (im only going by american releases)

SNES, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Link to the Past, Starfox, (#2 doesn't count either.) 3 GOOD Megaman games as opposed to the 1 crappy one on N64

I suppose the N64 and the SNES are probably the 2 best things out of the big N.

No, because games wise the NES is light years ahead of the N64.

Ahh, well, I've got all but one N64 game, but really the only one I play with consistency is Road Rash 64.

I always loved that series. It's addicting like few other games these days. :)
