Well it might work, youd be better off getting a subwoofer/surround speaker integrated set. I have an older version called FPS1800 by Cambridge (Creative Labs) that are real cheap now but still good. The point is the 4 sattelite speakers plug into the subwoofer and the subwoofer plugs into both the front and rear speaker outputs on the soundcard. This way the subwoofer can do its job on the Bass output of all the channels and not just two of them. What your suggesting would only amplify the Bass output for the rear channels but the front channels would not be amplified, and most of the bass comes from the front channels anyway.

Cambridge Soundworks = suck

Personal opinion, had to throw it in there. :)

Allnatural's Personal Opinon = Nothing to me ;)

Seriously though, I like my speakers. They are a lot better than most of my friends that Ive heard. Even some of them with digital suck compared to mine

Speakers are one of those things that it's much better to try out before you buy... I went to a couple computer shops in my area, listened to about 10 different models... and then bought the pair that sounded best to me online for half the store price.

Meh...
cant i just plug in my front and rear speakers to the sub? but anyways, my front speakers have a built in subwoofer so i can still get bass from it, but i still want clear bass not the rattle type.

Well, no the sub you specified only has front speaker inputs. There is no plug for the rear speakers at all. Besides that, my speaker plugs dont have traditional mini pin plugs, they have plugs that are more like TV/VCR Audio plugs. Since the system you chose above is the same as mine but a non-surround model, I'd say its probably the same way.

Also I'm nost real sure but having subwoofers in the front speakers and then a seperate subwoofer for the rear speakers might cause conflicts if they sit too close together. Speakers are nothing but giant magnets really. Yes they have other things but if those magnets should collide, well youve got a problem. Most PC speakers are shielded to protect your monitor though.

I have the 2nd worst speakers ever created (crown goes to my previous speakers- now they were truely unholy).

Time to buy newer ones... it's Chrimbo for heaven's sake! Maybe even with a subwoofer (which is not a stray dog at an Underground station, fact fans!)

I used to have Altec speakers, they sucked majorly. I will never buy from them again.

Mine don't suck at all, chiefly for small speakers!!! :matrix:

I wonder why your Altec Lansing speakers did suck majorly?

They kinda had troubles from the beginning. The one thing that annoyed me most is they kept picking up truck signals from the interstate. Later they just kinda died.

I'm very serious about that. You know you have crappy speakers when you get to Act IV kill Lord De Seis and hear "Not even death can save you from rodger that, over".
