Controller Problem. This is a tough one!

I am having trouble with the Project 64 emulator version 1.5 controller configuration.

I tried to configured both my wingman and firestorm controllers to work, but all the buttons work except the up button. In the config window it responded and is assigned as up but it does not work while a game is in progress.
I thought there was something wrong with the controllers but they work perfectly with Madden 2003 and other games. Can some one help?

Up as in crosshair? Sure you have set the axles correct? Not sure which axel it should be but worth playing around with...

I just calibrated the controller (the wingman) and it works perfectly, even the up on Point of view hat under its controller properties. I want the pad part of the controller to work, the stick works fine. So what do you suggest?
