I was wondering if it's possible to connect two wireless access points to eachother without the use of a bridge? If so, how would you configure them? Just set all the settings the same on both and then it should work? Can't find info about it on google...

Can't find info on google eh? It depends on how you search. Try puting in quotes: (ommiting the [,] for clairty) ["two access points" connect] in the search field and I found out on the first page of results there's a forum that says that two APs can NOT be connected to each other, follow this link to the forum for all the reasons why click here
However, it is possible with an AP and a bridge with linksys products but they must be connected together via ethernet crossover cable. It could be the same for other products too.
Wireless is for me (IMO) CRAB!
you got slow bandwidth, and the worst thing is the response time....
so only for surfing on a sunny day in the green but not for playing or downloadinf (i even tried diffrent 54 Mbit cards)
so nice toy for some relaxing "green" time for laptop users but not an option to replace ethernet (100 Mbit aka Fast ethernet)
hm i hope i havn´t gone off topic too much ^_~

wireless is fine in my older PC, since its only <10 meters away tho, it never goes under 54Mbits, reception is always strong, and when my sister uses it to play Jedi Outcast with me and other friends over the internet she never pings over 100

No doubt you will get higher speeds with wired ethernet but what about convenience? To network my house with wires, I would need to buy many cables and drill holes in to walls, floors, and it wouldn't look pretty. Plus the speed of wireless, in my case, is good enough to play online games, surf the net, and transfer files at average 1 MB/s (faster and slower depending where I'm at). It all depends on what you need or prefer: speed or convenience.
