Conker's Bad Fur Day-Sequel

there are plenty of games on the gamecube i have i like more than the games i have for my xbox, for instance: Zelda, Pikmin, Mario kart, Metriod prime, Smash Bros and Mario Sunshine, for the Xbox the games that have kept my attention the most has been Timesplitters 2 and Blinx.

Saturn beat the n64? don't make me laugh, n64 had more brilliant games than that console had its few games, Dreamcast was good though.

As for Rare, they are the slowest developers i've seen yet since they moved to the Xbox, they've only released 1 title for it, and their new conker game is basicly just the one that was on the N64 but with better graphics, this is pathetic, rareware churned out at least 8 titles for the N64.

What happened to them? Did they just roll over and die or something? just my opinion but i'm sick of waiting.

Also this thread has been way off topic for a while, probably should be moved somewhere besides "Project64" probably.

If you would have READ what he said you would realize how stupid you just made yourself sound. He said IF graphics made a console sucessful that the Saturn would've beat the N64.

I was gonna post the same reply to what he said.

With Rare, I hope they decide to make games a little faster. I know that they have made the best games ever for n64, but they need to work faster.

Interesting. I don't own any of the latest generation consoles and I'm not sure which I would buy if I was going to. Nintendo's good games are always extremely good and more solid overall than anything else but the Gamecube does lack a little in number of titles and variety. There are enough great games for the system to satisfy me. The XBOX has a larger number of games and much more racing games which I do enjoy but has few exclusives. The modding is also a great plus. It's ability to run a variety of emulators, play movies, run linux, use as a server etc. makes it a great choice. The PS2, hmm for me PS2 = bleh. It may have some good games and a huge library (I haven't played any really good games on it yet) but I have yet to be impressed by it. The only games I have played haven't been memorable and they have been really grainy and washed out looking. Graphics aren't that important but I at least like a decent image quality. Going from Snes to the Playstation was a step up in realism but a big step back in image quality with it's super grainy low res 3D. Even though most N64 games weren't as texture rich and polygon counts tended to be lower at least it used filtering and had a nice smooth look to it which I prefered. The PS2 is basically that, a Playstation 2 and it seems to have inherited some of the image issues. The Dreamcast came out before the PS2 and doesn't feature these bonus features. If anyone can suggest some great PS2 games let me know and I'm sure I could change my tune about the PS2. Ahh well...I'm ranting. I don't feel like reading this over so it's probably riddled with errors.

Ps2 games that are great, try gran turismo 3 if you really like racing games. Also other great games you can try are .hack, final fantasy x, devil may cry, tekken 4, kingdom hearts, etc. There are many great games on the ps2, you just have to try the systems out for yourself to decide.

Ah, I see, so the sega master system must've been more powerful than the playstation, it all makes sense now.

I don't think the saturn was better graphically to the n64 and probably isn't, so sue me for not being specific enough, what i should've said was the saturn's hardware AND games sucked compared to the N64's.

I think I remember the N64 being named the most powerful games console on earth at the time it was released if i'm not mistaken.

I never heard that, but I wouldn't doubt it because the n64 was great.

Actually what I think Sayargh is reffering to was an article published in EDGE (and likely syndicated worldwide) before N64's launch stating that the SGI GPU was leading edge technology at the time. Which it was. Certainly made the ShATURN and PeeSeX look rather pathetic with their total lack of hardware texture filtering. If I remember correctly the cover had Banjo and Kazooie in some high res shot with the article itself showing lots of SGI rendered shots. Of course in true Nintendo style none of it looked even close to that in the real game.

im not sure what clements said about x-box outselling nintendo in japan. My dad works in japan and he said that the x-box isn't as much popular as the gamecube and ps2 :) ,And also here in the Philippines I really havent seen a shop/mall that sells an x-box. Hope that brings good news to you guys.
