Computer Issues...

One of my desktops has been acting up recently. Well... it isn't really working at all. Not quite sure what caused it, I hardly ever use the computer (it's more for the rest of my family). It just stopped working one day.

When I press the power button, I can hear the fans and such as it turns on. The monitor doesn't display anything. It runs for about 5-10 seconds then shuts off. Strange?

My first guess would have been a bad power supply, so I replaced it. Same results. I'm pretty much stumped. It's a relatively new computer, would hate to have to buy a new one. Any ideas?

Is the ATX +12V (if necessary) plugged in? Do you have another motherboard to test? Usually those cause such symptoms.

1) Yes
2) No, (well, not one I feel like pulling out of my good desktop). If the mobo is fried, I don't have any inspiration to replace it. I'm hoping that isn't the case.

Any simpler ways to find this out, without completely ripping things apart?

If it's new, you should have a warranty on it. So you can take it back to the shop and get it fixed for free?
