Hello all!
I have been using SupraHLE for about as long as I can think and it works really well in general, but I have been reading about the 1964 and have been getting curious to see what it would do on my system. I did try it once before a long time ago, but couldn't get anything really to work so I went back to SupraHLE.

I did read the stickies, but since I am so inexperienced with 1964 it all seems a bit confusing. Is there a totaly beginner faq somewhere that I can read instead of bugging you guys?

Or if you feel in a good mood and would like to make your own suggestions on what I need to start with, here are my (crappy) specs:
Windows 98
433mhz processor (don't laugh. It still runs pretty well...until I can give it the boot!)
Voodoo2 (yes, it's a dinosaur, too.)
I have an ATI Rage integrated, but if I can get the Voodoo to do the graphics they run much smoother and faster.
SB AudioPCI 64D Legacy audio card
I know this stuff is like 5 years old, but it still runs some things quite well.
Thank you to anyone who wishes to offer help. :)

(Man, I missed the 6 in the topic title...what an embarassment! I tried to fix it. )

Well you can try using
1964 + Azimers 0.30 (old driver) + gilde 64.

I THINK that would be your best bet. Most games should be quite fast?? Complex games probably will run slow but you can always change the counter factor thingy.
->first u go 2 user options check expert options.
->then go to cpu and adjust it .

Dont know if it would run well but thats my 2 piece feed:whistling

Doomulation

?????????????????????????
I think that's about it...
There's always some extra function you can do to speed it up, but i'm not too sure about them as i don't use 1964

If you ever decide to upgrade, here is a cheap alternative.

With the inexpensive tools that lie beyond this website, you will soon feel the awesome power of 1964!

NEVER spend $1000's on a pc.

P.S. (Nvidia TNT or GeForce2+ video @ least 16MB)

I know you guys probably hear this stuff alot from newbs, but it's great that you have patience to tolerate learners.
