As for why I left, well, I believe I (or perhaps it was Jaz on my behalf IIRC) made it very clear at the time why I was doing so. I gave him the choice over whether to post that statement publically or not, if that's what you were referring to as `run(ning) away`.

Speaking of people who are taking a sabatical from this place... I can't remember if he did or not. Either way it's water under the bridge now.

if your are able to read correctly, it's about those who deny rights to the others !!! and this comparison is perfectly valid... i'm not a moron who compare a prisonner (all rights lost because he hadn't respect the rights of the others) with a disabled guy (where YOU want to deny rights)... but if you can make any relation between those cases i'm curious to know... no ? unable ?

What I was talking about is people with major issues. Down syndrome, severe brain damage caused by a genetical disease, AIDS, whatever that can make a newborn child FUBAR. And in no way are you going to convince me that those people should be allowed to breed.

Really, IMO people with some kind of serious disease that can affect their offspring should not be allowed to reproduce because what if they die in front of their children, just imagine the trama they would put their children through. A reason they should be allowed to reproduce is because everyone should have a chance to have kids, and besides you also never know if in the future they find a cure for the disease and that would give the children a chance to have their own kids without any kind of disease. I understand where everyone is coming at in this thread, and I'm not disagreeing with anyones opinion. Also what's with all the damn arguing, isn't this supposed to be a civil forum? This forum should also be closed IMO before it gets any more personal.

It's amazing that two years after your thread got canned you still fail to realise that it got canned because of it being illegal, while the CS:S and HL2 preloads are perfectly fine.

Well, back to being misread I guess...
I never once mentioned the CS:S and HL2 preloads. I did however mention the Longhorn alpha's (LH) which are not only highly illegal and with the weight of Microsoft behind them, but are also being openly discussed elsewhere. A definite parallel and an interesting fact, no more no less was meant by that.

As for that thread... which I'm honestly so damn bored of references to given that I never brought it up (see earlier post if any of you really don't get that a; I'm joking and b; I'm still joking), and if someone insists on turning a debate into pointless religious point-scoring and gets personal publically, I'm well within my right to respond. You would too, as most people would and do regularly.

The truth is, I have a lot of respect for you arguing your case with facts, not resorting to that kind of thing. I have no interest in point-scoring with other members; I'm here to debate and have fun plain and simple as ever. I don't have to agree with your point of view or your beliefs to respect you in terms of debate, and I don't see why I should take personal insults in order to stay in the discussion. There really is no place for it.
If either of you, or anyone else, do want to continue this subtopic, I'm more than happy to do so privately. And as long as people don't insist on dragging up the past yet again, that'll be the last I ever say on that damn thread.
