Hello, I just tried out Chankast. So far so good. I just wanted to know if its normal for games such as Ikaruga / Zero Gunner 2 to have short bursts of slow framerates during gameplay. Its not always during an intense scene either. I get a good 65FPS during normal play with Ikaruga for example, but during some points almost randomly it drops to 23FPS for a few seconds, then back to full speed, and not much changed during that scene. I'm running it off Alcohol 120%'s virtual CDROM, and even tried disabling the sound card. Im using my friends computer which has 1GB RAM, a ATI 9800PRO, and an AthlonXP 3200+. Any ideas on how to avoid these framerate hiccups, or just wait til a new Chankast release (for Ikaruga I use .25 with nothing enabled via Video Settings) (for Zero Gunner I use .2 with nothing enabled in Video Settings)? Remember, where there's a will there's a way!
