Chankast.exe - Unable To Locate Component

Im using a Laptop
Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 1 (5.1 - 2600)]
CPU: [1-Intel , 1194MHz, 512KB (0% Load)]. Uptime: [3d 20h 58m 54s]. Video Card: [Intel(R) 82830M Graphics Controller-0].
ScreenInfo: [1024x768 32bit 60Hz].
RAM : 256MB

i know my notebook is a little under requirement...
and the reason it doesnt work might be because chankast.exe doesnt work on notebook >_<...

i read the post about 3danalyzer but those tonnes check boxxes just confused me...

any help will be appreciated Thanks..

You do have DX9 installed? If not, install it

I also have the same condition!~~
i am using notebook computer
OS:Windows XP Professional
CPU4 2G
RAM : 256MB
Graphics card:SIS 650,
when i run Chankast_02a,it can only display the appearance of bios, can't start the game.(the game is alp-ikaruga)
however when i run the Chankast_01,it is ok!~
i have installed DX9!~

Problem a solved now to the next problem >_<

i finally managed to make it run! after DX9.0b installed
thanx to the great wisdom of trotterwatch ^^

however....the vicious circle continues....

i am trying to play street fighter 3rd Strike(.NRG) using daemon tool to mount the image...and when i choose start option to run

it display the image of dreamcast then poof....
chankast.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience. the magical error...well its still better than blue screen of death >_<

any reason of why i cant play the game? is it because of chankast.exe not configured properly yet? or the game is incompatible or something?

I really think you need to use 3D Analyze and experiment with it. As a general rule try the emulate HW T&L option.
