can't read font in mario 64

Hi all.
I'm new to this emulator so don't get mad if I ask this question.
I resently downloaded Mario 64 and this emulator, and when I start up the game I can't read any of the lettering the game.
Any help would be appreciated.

what are your system specs (cpu, video card, ram)

Ok my system specs are:
AMD Athlon 1ghz
Sound Blaster Live
Geforce 2 Ti
256 Pc133 Ram(This stuff is crap)
Windows 98se
DirectX 8.1

I have the (E) game is that the problem ?

Enzyme, yes, the problem is the E rom. Text is fine in the others, it's currently a known issue. I don't think there is a way around it with the default video plugin, you might want to download another video plugin and see if it helps.
