You know, you're always gonna have problems when you aren't stating which VERSION of the game the cheats are for. For instance the cheat engine in the Chankast Utils has cheats for the USA version of Soul Calibur while this cheat engine (fortunately) has cheats for the PAL version of the game. While most of the crowd will say "whats the difference" the authors should have known better and put either PAL, USA or JAP behind the game titles. This dates back from the Action Replay days on NES. PAL cheats don't work on USA or JAP versions of games and vice versa.

i don't have many game (7)
and i tested on the us version, that's probably why it doesn't work :-/

Actually NES PAR Codes Do work On All Regions Of the Games with a Few Exceptions that need to be made specifcally for the other Regions.

Its the Game Genie Nes Codes that dont work for the Other Regions or is Rare that they do.

Exactly "Few Exceptions" which is why the JAP/PAL/USA rule applies. To Stop confusing ppl and getting annoyed with "why doesn't this cheat for on MY game?" Anyway, since the NES almost every Code for every game is region specific. So it would be a very good idea to add JAP/PAL/USA behind the game the cheat was tested on so that people know for sure it will work with their version of the game.

ChankastCheater is not working for me. I tested it on celeron and 2 Athlon's. I dont know why I cant search teh codes. Problem is with results olways says 0. What I must to do?
Maybe You tell me what I do wrong:

1. I downloaded all file from: chankast from chankast homepage, cheater (de and en ver.) from this forum, bios and flash from http://bios*****.free.** and for end I downloaded missing lib file "MSCOMCTL.OCX". Cheater must have this to run.
2. Run Chankast (file renamed to chankast.exe) with game (for example TREASURE STRIKE) in virtual drive.
3. Game loaded and started with 20 bullets.
4.Pause the game and run cheater.
5. In Start search entered "20" and app founded a lot of results.
6. unpaused the game and loose 3 bullets and in search continue i entered 17.
7. Results is always "0"

I tried on many games with any bit (8, 16, 32) search and is always the same.

I also tried on Ikaruga without results

Anyone have the same problem ??

hmm, it's a jap. game, i dont understand. but yes, it works not (have tested, but is not a cheater-error), try it with [dump complete memory] and [=], [<], [>], [<>] (8,16,32bit). or try it with a real game-cheater...

i try it later again...

I tested dump complete memory and =, <, >, <> on every bit.
The missing "MSCOMCTL.OCX" is the problem?
Could You tell me what I must to do to get work properly search engine?
I need only this search engine to work (trainer is needless for me - I can test new codes with AR,GS or code breaker. I have tested a lot of my games (40 - 10% of my game coll.) and always is the same problem with 0 results.
If the missing "MSCOMCTL.OCX" is the problem, could You upload Yours file an give a link for this file?

I need this to work because I am helping DCEVOLUTION with new project - VMU TOOL IMAGE. On this time I have codesave for Action Replay with 367 !!! codes for games (included lots of jap titles translated by me from different japaneese sites) and this app will be good instrument for search new codes for games.

it is possible, which the gamedata (energy, bullets etc.) in the VMU are stored and not in the 16MB DC-RAM, no idea (?)

It seems I have this file on my system32 folder
I dl it nonetheless from dll-files.com and I noticed they have an older version (May 14, 1999)
Are you sure your cheater works with the newer version? (April 25, 2002)

MSCOMCTL is only needed for the left listbox, if you can see the left listbox then i think it works.
