Can pj64 break my computer?

I dogownloaded pj64 and the rom banjokazooi a week ago and played it for about 5 hours - everything seemed ok, then I turned the computer off and when I went to turn it back on again, while booting up it said "verifying DMI pool" and then "invalid system disk, replace disk and press enter". There was no disk in my computer though. I waqs just wondering if it had anything to do with my computer being very slow (500mhz, 64mb) and pj64 was taking up too much memory or something?
banjo was running ok - it wasnt even that slow... is it possible to get a virus from a rom? because all I downloaded that night was the rom and pj64.

Well, I am 100% sure it was not PJ64. Apparently the boot sector of your HDD has become corrupted somehow, but don't ask me what caused it. But I can assure you that it was not PJ64. You might want to tr reinstalling windows.

You probably got a virus or somethin'. You should be more careful when downloading things. And use an anti-virus software!
Must make sure there aren't any virus in the roms :p

You should always have more than one partitions on your hard drive and one of them must be using FAT32. Then you keep all your ROMs in the non-system partition.

In the zip maybe, but no in the rom itself.
Slougi...
The last one was a joke.

Why would anyone make a virus for roms anyway? They'd go for the executables, like the emulator.
