Can anyone help me giure out MAMe and how to get it to work and Kawaks issues

Ok Umm I got MAME but I cant get it to work comes up gives me a litle windown with a dos screen and a little window over it with some command info and thats it lets me pick to read documentation the it goes off. And I cant get CPS1 or CPS 2 to run in Kawaks any help PMs welcome (while I still have hair would be GREAT lmao) :term:

Well, you could start by reading the "Readme" documentation for MAME, or you could get MAME32 which has a Windows style frontend (user friendly).

CPS1 and CPS2 games work fine for me in winkawaks. what games are you trying to play, and what version of kawaks? have you made kawaks generate a dat file & verified your games according to it?

as far as mame goes, it's probably easier to do as mentioned & get mame32 or one of its variants. to use the official mame you type "mame game_name_here" and it'll run - you can optionally set additional stuff on the commandline but that's another issue.

Use Mame32Plus. It's in my opinion one of the best arcade emulators.
