CamSpy works with Rice Daedalus 5.2.0

When I was playing with the settings in Rice's plugin earlier, I got the CamSpy in Perfect Dark to work.

How I did it:
Start Perfect Dark, load a level where the CamSpy is available (the second level), switch to the CamSpy and change the Frame Buffer to "Complete", thats it for getting it to work.
But there's another thing, the CamSpy is displayed differently when the game is set to "Full, Wide or Cinema" in the Video menu.

That sucks! I believe Jabo's GFX 1.5 plugin can allow you to use CamSpy without major slowness. :( Jabo's GFX 1.5 plugin for using the CamSpy don't require the dreaded majorly slow complete framebuffer method. :(

I wouldn't say it 'sucks'. A complex effect such as this is so tough to emulate, you must at least give it credit for that.

Jabos does indeed work fast with it, but the effect is not done correctly. So comparisons are useless.

I thought the poster was trying to say that to even see objects *at all* that Rice's Daedalus 5.2.0 requires the complete framebuffer method while Jabo's GFX 1.5 plugin don't require the complete framebuffer method.
