How can I make my USB flash disk bootable without using a floppy at all? I already searched on Google but I can't find a solution.

Just did this for a couple systems at my office. My findings, unless someone wants to enlighten me, your BIOS must support USB drive in DOS mode or boot mode. May refer to it as thumbdrive also.

Anyway these machines had those settings under where you select the boot order (ie. CD-ROM, HD, Network, USB Device, Floppy, etc...).

Well, is not a BIOS problem, my question is how to make the USB drive bootable without using a floppy at all on its creaton.

My bad I misunderstood, I thought you had made the flash bootable already but couldn't boot from it.

@ Slougi

Normally the floppy is used to extract the boot sector from it for the flash drive.

@ t0rek

Are you using USB 2.0? Most instructions I have seen always talk USB 2.0 almost like it's a requirement, but never say definitively. I must say I don't have any USB 1.1 or lower version devices anymore. Just trying to offer up suggestions.
