Yes I know I just released Beta 3 and Beta 4 is not going to be available for quite some time, however, As you can see below, I have implemented the feature that will allow users to select which type of database they wish to use. In addition I have made it possible for users to create their own database for other people to use. What I need is any volunteers that would like to host a VirtuaWallpaper server for the Beta version and possibly after the release of the full version. This will allow you to spread your own taste in desktop art.
Here is what you need
Some webspace* - Enough for at least 2 640x480 images, 2 800x600 images, 2 1024x768 images (all of which you will chose) and one file approximately 5kb.
Good taste in Desktop Wallpaper Art - This is rather hard to define as people have different tastes. Most of you already posses this.
A Theme Idea - This is optional, but its good to have some idea of the type/catagory of images you wish to display, you can host more than one database on your server so I would suggest you seperate them to give other users an idea what to suggest rather than just throwing in a haphazard mix of images.
*I'm not entirely sure if WinSock will download them if they have the direct link protection (i.e. AngelFire, Yahoo!, etc.), though it might be interesting to find out before the full version is released.
