Best way to play Banjo Tooie?

I haven't dipped into emulation in a very long time (PJ64 still has no update!) and I now want to zip through Banjo Tooie before BK: Nuts & Bolts releases because I never finished the 2nd game.

What's the best emulator to play it with?

I also have a Wii, so if there's any way to play it on there I'd like that better.

Of course, my dream is to have N64 widescreen hi-res texture emulation on the Wii, but I should give up waitin' on that one.

It's a good question. The game will randomly freeze on most configurations. Check out this FAQ. Stay away from PJ64, it has issues with the game. I believe that the 1964 0.8.5 configuration is stable. Unfortunately, the level unlocking puzzles will be all screwed up. They are correctly emulated in the latest release of Glide64, which I'm currently testing with the game. As of yet, I haven't been able to avoid random crashes with the plugin. gln64 also works, but Banjo's shadow shows up as a big glitchy rectangle.

No N64 emulators on the Wii as of yet. Good Luck with Banjo-Tooie. I'll be sure to post back here if I figure out how to get Glide64 stable.

Wii64/Mupen64GC?

*ahem* There was also a modified version of 1964 0.8.5 floating around, but I can't find it.
