Best MAME for android?

Hello, I am newbie here.

Does anyone knows which version's MAME emulator is best for Android. I download the one on Google Play and found that not many ROMS can support.

OR, is there any method to convert the ROMs for it?

I think the only MAME emulator for Android is the official MAME and ports of it.

Mame4Droid is based on an older version of MAME on the desktop. To use the newest version, you'll need to install Retroarch from the play store which will allow you to use it's MAME core. It's updated to the latest revisions of the desktop version. Retroarch also includes older MAME cores as well for performance reasons.

I have tried both Mame4all and retroarch on my Android Media box M8 with Kodi rom collection Browser and cant get either to work, any ideas?
