Best game ever? Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

Without bias towards towards the Zelda series or Nintendo this game is possibly to best video game of all time. I've heard it from many many people and haven't heard one person knock it so far.

The graphics and effects are great, (they still look cool!) the story line is exciting and brilliant and the soundtrack is magnificant. If i ever get board of the story in the game i'll play it simply for the music.

Tell me your thoughts on this game. And how do i add a poll?

The game was certainly revolutionary for it's time and still holds up as a viable game all these years later. I don't think I've had as much fun with a console game since.

It is one of the best games of all time, I liked Majoras Mask much more though for some reason.

I'd say second best (I reserved first best for FF7), but this game really made the N64 a cool system to have. Definitely the best platformer/adventure game out there, IMO. I wish they'd release something at least close to as good today... <Toasty waits for Twilight Princess with high hopes>

I have to agree with Toasty OoT is a great game but id say FF7(IMO) is better maybe because RPG's are my favorite game genre.

it is indeed a great game but i´d never thought of the best game ever, i will meditate on it a little further.

I'd say my favorite Zelda game would have to be A Link to the Past. The others are good and all, but I never had as much fun as I did when I went through Zelda 3 for the first time. I still have the SNES system and Zelda III, so I make it a point to go through that every couple months... maybe 6 or 7 times a year overall. Final Fantasy VII would also be more of a favorite to me than Zelda: OoT. I do love the Zelda series overall as well though.

A link to the past was great and it beat OoT in one very important aspect. It had the original zelda music. OoT did not. That would have to be the games most major flaw. I'll try and post the music if you don't know what music im talking about.

I agree with Toasty... Final Fantasy 7 was the greatest game ever concieved... and OoT is a close second.

i only got FF7 after its graphics got way out dated and i never got to play it because of that and that i was on GTA - VC at the time.

i played FF7. it was good, but chronotrigger was better. i was too lazy to finish OOT, meh.

It's all Squaresoft (except Zelda games, of course), so they're all great games.

I think OOT is one of the best games out there but I have to say that Chrono Trigger is better IMO.
