banjo kazooie problem (slowdown)

Hi, Im having the same problem as this guy except I am using project 64 1.6.
what can I do to fix this?

I don't get a slowdown with Jabo's D3D8 1.6. If you video card supports it, it should be fullspeed. Disabling 'Self rendered textures' in Jabo's D3D6 plugin will fix it too but it'll break other effects in the game.

Other plugins that shouldn't slow down here are Rice's Video, glN64(), Direct64 and maybe others, so try these as they may work better for you.

Going back to Jabo's video plugin 1.4 should speed things up and disabling self rendered textures.

I installed and tried a bunch of em, the only one that works good is rices newest and second newest. The only thing wrong is: banjo is black! what can i do to fix this?

What are your computer specifications?

I have windows ME, 40 gb hard drive, 256 ram, an nvidia tnt2 model 64.

Your gfx card can use an upgrade, and also your OS. What processor do you have? You might also wanna try some other gfx card drivers.

the best thing for this game is jabos direct 3d plugin 1.5.2
the game works perfect and when u go under water the screen dont blacken out like rice 6.0 x_x the games not slow either with 1.5.2 i automatically had it u should try it out
