You seem content on blaming ATIs entire card because of one game, Half life is a known problem for the drivers, or the game just doesn't like the card.

No, I never said the card, not even once. And its safe to say that half life is the most played FPS, which means that if ATI can't support it, then they have some problems. Even outdated 3dfx and nvidia cards play this game just fine.

I haven't tried half life but i wouldn't judge everything on it, but i'll play it to see if that happens to me anyway... still every other game i've played is better than before, did i say better? i meant much better.

Yes, every other game, I will agree, hence:

if you hate your ati card so much then you should put the geforce2 back in, end of story.

No.

But if they can't support a game like half life, especialy being as old as it is, that means theres a problem. Unlike some people, I like to play games that are actualy entertaining, most of the time the flashy new graphics mean crap to me, same with going out and buying the latest video card just because its the most expensive so that I can show everybody else how much bigger it makes my dick appear to be.

Oh, BTW, that "seam" you see: are you using "Performance" AF or "Quality"? Performance uses bilinear filtering, which would cause those seams. Quality uses trilinear, or should, any way. I've heard that for some games it still uses bilinear for some textures.

I actualy set it to the quality setting. It looks better with AF off entirely. The only exception to this is if I turn FSAA on, then the AF actualy works better than my last card only when its at 16x. The problem though, is that FSAA reduces the FPS too much for my taste, and it makes the fonts look blurry in half life. In other words, the AF is completely useless.
