Argh, difficulty with PS2 controller via adapter.

Hello,
Recently I purchased a PS2 to USB adapter from Radio Shack. I plugged the controller into the adapter which was then plugged into the USB port. All the proper drivers are installed yet I still can't get the controller to work. I tried changing the Input controller plugin to N-Range, I selected my controller from the drop down menu. I tried Jabo's settings, messing with the deadzone range, etc...my controller IS selected, "USB Dual Vibration Joystick". I messed with the settings of the controller in Control Panel of Windows (though I am not sure how to calibrate it exactly), but it still isn't working. The version of PJ I'm using is 1.6 and I've read some of the previous threads with similar occurances but I'm having bad luck! I've changed it to Rumble Pak, Memory Pak, you name it, but nothing is making the controller respond. I'm new to the emulator world so please help me out!

That is the make/model of some adapter? I've heard from various people that a certain adapter that Radio Shack sells is absolutely worthless.

Agozer: On the package it says: Playstation-to-USB Adapter

Smiff: Yes, there's response in the Control Panel so I think there's a setting in PJ64 I need.

You seem to have covered all the bases, but you didn't miss the most obvious did you? Both Jabo's and N-Rage's plugins have a "plugged in" checkbox. You could still configure the plugin, but it wouldn't work in-game unless the box was checked. Speaking of which, are you able to configure either plugin, or does it fail to respond there as well?

Allnatural: It's checked in. In Jabo, when I selected Rumble Pak, there's a constant rumbling in the game...but it doesn't let me move or anything. So, I think there's a setting I need in particular, I just can't figure out the right combo.
