Hello all,

This is the Situation :

My Computer :

Intel PIV 2400Mhz
1256 MB RAM
GeForce FX5900
Windows XP Pro
ASPI v4.60 installed
Chankast v0.25 alpha
Deamon Tool v2.46

Images tried :

Crazy Taxi CDI
Soul Calibur CDI
Virtual Cop 2 CDI

Parameters :

CDRom Plugin : CDRom Interface aspi
Input Plugin : Input Interface by ELSemi
Cable Type : VGA

Files inside the Chankast Folder :

chankast.cfg
chankast.input
chankast_alpha_25.exe
chankast_cdrom.dll
chankast_cdrom_aspi.dll
chankast_input.dll
chankast_input_semi.dll
chankast_manual.chm
dc_bios.bin
dc_flash.bin
maple.cfg
VMS.bin
VMS1.bin
vmsbrowser.exe

When I mount any of the above mentioned into Daemon Tools
and start Chankast and Choose : RUN -> Start,
the BIOS Scrren comes after the SEGA Swirl and as soon as I
choose "Game" the message pops up "Please Insert Game Disc".

I already switched from VVGA to NTSC.

But always with the same result.

I also tried a different BIOS Version.

What is there left to do, what am I doing wrong or what
should I check ?

Thanks in advance,

Just Another Wacko ;)
Make sure that you selected the right drive letter from drive configuration of the emulator.

I made sure that I used the right drive letter, cause I see the selected
Image in the virtual drive, but ...

... it is shown as AUDIO-CD in all cases,

may this be the problem, or is this normal ?

Probaply you have still enabled a drive parameters changing prog like anydvd? If you load it into your virtual drive what does the autorun dialog show? Audio CD or Adio&Pics? What's the name of the mounted image? Audio CD or (e.g.) ECHELON?
ANd the last and easiest way: change your plugin to CD-Rom Plugin XXX... :p
That should work with WinXP... didn't seen this before...

Choosing "CD-Rom Plugin XXX" and Disabling "AnyDVD" solved the
problem in combination.

Thank you very much for the Info about AnyDVD !
