Animal Forest Problem - Japanese speaker required

Hello.

I recently, after a few hours of searching, managed to get hold of an Animal Forest (or Doubutso No Mori) ROM. However, I have stumbled at the first hurdle. I have been presented with this screen:

I have no knowledge of Japanese (I was intending to bluff my way through the game) and I don't know what the block of text means. Would any Japanese speakers be kind enough to tell me what it means and where I went wrong, if I have done so?

I've been hacking around with this game for some time, the error is either a Controller Pack or Controller error, check your settings for those and I'm sure you'll find the problem, by default it doesnt usually have any issues with 1964.

It'll take you forever to get anywhere in the game if your just gonna bluff your way thru it lol its very dependant on its dialog
