an mpeg trimming program

is there a program that lets you trim mpegs, avi's, etc. i know there are programs like this that let you trim the lengths of mp3's, just wondering if there are any for movies. if there are, please let me know, thanks

Really simplistic, Windows Movie Maker (windows xp) will let you trim, resize, add to. Then you can save it in the lovely wmv format.

I believe Virtual Dub has trimming abilities, but I've never been able to get that program to do more than make a video unreadable.

Virtual Dub work well for avi but it requieres that you read the manual to understand basic concepts...
For mpg you can use tmpgenc
