Advance Wars 2 help needed!

Advance Wars 2 will not save. I am using 1.7.2 version of VBA and I need help. Does anyone know why advance wars 2 will not save? I want it to save because I cant play my custom maps if it dosnt. Someone please help me!

Make sure you've set the save type correctly. Google for GBA Tool Advance if you don't know what save type a specific game uses.

You should also try kode54's VBA build which is infinitely better that the version you are using.

Ok I got both of those. I found out the save type is Flash. I tried setting it to flash in both emulators(the old one and the one i just downloaded) and it still dosnt save.

Well, the save type is flash 64k. I am not sure whether it is a save setting problem but you can still try, it costs nothing
So do the following steps exactly:

- Create a new folder
- Put ONLY the emulator and the rom (no other files such as vba.ini or any save files)
- Open the emulator and go to File>Options>Emulator>Save Type>Flash 64k
- Load your rom.

Note: all your previous save state will be lost, don't try to use them or you won't be able to save. You have to start all over again.
