Hi,

Does anyone actually use the Action Replay or other cheat devices when they are using emulators? Its just that there seem an awful lot of tools emulated - surely there must be a reason for them?

MemPack/SRAM Manager for instance??? I'm using Project 64 (the best N64 emulator out there!!!) and seem to have problems running some of the programs.

You don't need those "tools." Pj has built-in cheats. See the cheats in some of the menues (gah, read the manual I can't remember). There is all the codes you will need.

He's referring to the memory editor, which is used to look up values and stuff. The only emulator (I think) that has a built in memory editor is NEmu, but it's kinda out of date.

just hit CTRL+C and it will bring up cheats, you can also add cheats (gameshark only i think) and right click on any cheat on the list and select add new cheat and well the rest is easy to figure out. ive noticed on goldeneye it doesnt have invincibility without activating the cheat, same thing for unlimited ammo and invisibility, plus i love paintball mode without activating the cheat so i added those too. i hope i helped before i went off topic!

My soldiers salute you!

Practically everybody uses cheats, since as of PJ64 1.6, they can (and are) built into the RDB file for various games such as Zelda: OoT and Pokemon Snap.

sheet i thought they were built into the rom, its better if they are built into the rom, version cheats would be alot easier. like on turok some of the cheats dont work.
