About the Range Slider

it's _not_ for people using keyboards to walk in Mario/Zelda/whatever! It's for people with gamepads!. If you use a keyboard (yuck), please switch to N-Rage's plugin which has what he calls modifiers which puts the range control on a key of your choice (e.g. hold CTRL+direction to walk).

Umm, you can use it tho if you have a keyboard to walk in Ocarina of Time ... it's right under analog stick for that reason, unless you meant something else :!!!:

I agree with Jabo. When there was no PJ64 in 1999, I completed Zelda with UltraHle which had only keyboard support at that time.

i think people who don't know any better are constantly going into input settings and making adjustments - crazy, get a gamepad or use N-Rage's. Jabo i assumed if you wanted people to use it that way you'd have allowed setting to keys etc, but since people should have an analogue device to play N64 games, it would count as non-essential feature, right. I mean i don't care, i just read another post that implied someone didn't know the difference between default and N-Rage's and wanted to point this out to newbies.

Well like I was saying when I wanted the feature, I had to play PJ on a laptop once, and I thought it sucked that you couldn't walk in zelda with the keyboard, so I implemented that feature for that reason... so I wasn't sure what point was trying to be made, but if you have a keyboard, and you want to walk, just decrease the analog range and it will help that

I think the point you might be trying to make is constantly messing with the range is a pain in the ass which I agree, N-Rage's might have a thing hot key that makes it easier to use... but my input plugin definitely has the range feature for the reason of walking etc, so when you get to a point in a game you absolutely need a small amount of movement in, you have that ability
