My current sound and display card seems unable to run with the emulator. I would like to buy another one. Please recommend me a sound card and display card. Thanks.

If you wanna save some money, go for the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro, it works fine. But what they suggested above are the best ;)

You guys must be kidding. Chankast won't run a lot better with top of the line sound/vidcards. Even a dirty-cheap Geforce4-MX and a 6 year old SBlaster Live! will do.

For Chanka, money is better spent on a faster CPU than on hi-end sound and videocards.

it's true for the 0.2A release, but the next releases will probably implement plugins... so don't be so sure...

The video requirements are not high enough to warrant 9800 Pros or better. My CPU ensures that I'll get the fast frame rates I want, regardless of video card. The video hardware of the Dreamcast is not good enough to require a high end card, but that 200MHz CPU is powerful and will take a decent CPU to get good speeds - this is emulation and not PC gaming which is basically the opposite requirement-wise. I agree with Jabaturbo.

On-Board sound is fine for emulation, as well as cheap audio cards. Audigy 2s are not necessary at all. The money is best spent on the CPU.

perfectly true for the cpu and the sound card, but for the video card you estimate the speed with the actual dreamcast screen mode, and i think it will not the only one in the futur releases... maybe i'am wrong... who knows...
