An S3 Virge doesn't belong in a semi-modern PC - it's a truly atrocious card. You'll be well advised to pick up a cheap graphics card (you'll get a decent one for very little, if you want to settle for less than top of the line).
hmm it won't work it says cant' find server
but it says No se peude alojar el buffer trasero(y the error messege was in spanish i dunno)Then i click ok and i get
Error Ucode crc not found in INI, using currently selected Ucode
5d3099f1 I click OK then
1964 is there but it says
Glide64
Gfx cannot be drawn in windowed mode
Press Alt+Enter to switch to full screen
I do that AND it trys 2 go full screen then i have 2 close it b/c it does nothing and won't respond to ne more commnands till i reopen it
I mentioned this earlier... the S3 Virge doesn't really do HW Accelerated graphics (it's very old tech), so I think you are wasting your time.
I'd be interested to see if you can get anything running well - as I suspect that OpenGL plugins sometimes can fall back to Software based GL (may be wrong though).
:'( i really wanna play WHAHAHAHAH oh that just didn't happen none of u saw that well ok ill look into getting a new card THANKS for every1 that tried 2 help :'(
Depending on the processor you have, you have several choices. A voodoo 3 would be a vast improvement over what you have and would cost less than $25 I am sure (Ebay or something).
Is Ebay the only place to get a voodoo, because its so hard to find one these days. If it is that cheap, I would be intrested in getting one to run glide64 which is rapidly evolving into one of the best plugins now able to process hi-resolution framebuffer. Anyone know if you can get it any electronic store?
With earlier video hardware, because they don't support 32-bit color nor 24-bit color, if you don't change the Windows desktop color setting to 16-bit, you will get a video init failure error message.
hey how do i know if i have a AGP slot or not?

and how do i get a AGP slot what type of motherboard and around how much would it be?
