I was wondering if the iso that you use to burn on a gamecube disk is the same as the one you would need to play on an emulator. If not is there anything you have to do to it?

Sorry if this is breaking the rules (hope not) Lets say blah is the game i want to play on the emulator. My friend has blah the game. I get blah from him and i put it in my computer drive. I make an iso out of blah and rename it blah.gcm. would the game play on my computer?
