I was compiling a gentoo sources 2.4 kernel and noticed when I enabled NTFS Reading that the "WARNING: DANGEROUS" message was no longer next to NTFS write. I haven't heard any news about this, but is it possible that NTFS write support has been fixed in the new kernels?

I havent been following the emulation scene recently, I was wondering if anyone could give me a synopsis on the progress of Next Generation (ie PS2, XShit, and GC) Emulation. What are the up and coming emulators hitting the scene and how close are they to getting a decent retail game running?
