My Geforce 6600 came with a bundled utility to overclock it and check the temperatures and control the speed of the fan. However I'm only getting the overlocking option on the window application and I'm not getting the other stuff showed on the help page. What could be wrong?

A friend of mine wants to upgrade to a Geforce 6 series card. However his mobo is AGP 4x. The question is how much perfomance would he lose using a Geforce 6 AGP8x(for example a 6600) on his AGP4x mobo? And btw, he doesn't have the money to upgrade all his rig to a PCI-E compliant mobo and stuff.
