    REALLY annoying PJ64 errors.

I have the current Direct64/ Rice Video plugins, followed their instructions by putting BMGLinPNG.dll and BMGLib.dll in the correct folder. Am I not supposed to put both .dll files in the emulator directory, or am I? And why does PJ64 give me these error messages if I followed the directions?

SNEeSe 0.832b: how did they do this!?

Okay, I downloaded the newest version of SNEeSe and I wanted to check out the sound on the games. Turns out that the sound is frighteningly close to real SNES sound. Now, keep in mind that the only flaw I've seen is the lack of transparency effects. But, I've one thing to ask, *ahem*, how the...

When using the OpenGL API with Rice's Video 6.1.0c, this happens. Coins, enemies, you name it, have black squares. What's up with that?

    Why doesn't Pandora Tomorrow work!?!

When I try to launch Pandora Tomorrow, it shows the Ubisoft FMV, then the main menu. I click on the Single-player mode, then it kicks me out. It gives the infamous windows "windows encountered a problem with pandora.exe)error. What's going on!?

    Mystical Ninja 64 GFX prob

I use Rice's Video 6.1.0 plugin (and when I used the one's before it, there hae been a few problems. One, when the Direct X API is in use, there are missing sound channels (regardless of the SPU I use). Two, the coins have back edges when they fly. The HUD, doesn't display properly. I am using...

Something's screwed up with the PC clock

Okay, I don't know why or how this happened, so here's my problem. The clock is always inaccurate. I try synching the time to a server, and try setting it to the right time in the BIOS. This method works for a while, but when the PC's turned off and then turned on again at a later time, the...

    Not sure about this driver...

I was reading videogame magazine (GamePro) and someone had a question about graphics problems with an nVidia card, Game Pro mentioned beta drivers 67.02 for nVidia users. I found them, but I've a bad feeling they'll screw up the video card. Shoud I install this?

Stuck (and pissed at) Legend of Mana

I just beat the mission "Searching for the Lost Princess" and used a walkthrough up to that point in the game. Keep in mind that I have the games AFs (artifacts) up to this point. One problem, it tells me to go to Polpota Bay. Uh-huh. Where? I have the Sand Rose, Ancient Tablet, Coral, and...

Translating a .lang file to Japanese

Okay, here's the situation. I have the Japanese word processor NJ Star and I want to make a Japanaese .lang file for PJ64. I tried copying some text to the lang file from NJ Star, but it asks me to save the doc file in Unicode format. I load the lang file from PJ64 and it displays it as...

    The SPC700

Six words, Zsnes can't emulate the SPC700 well. Why? It's a very complex processor. The instructions are hard to pinpoint and trying to get perfect timing is downright complicated. How come the Zsnes coders can't implement better SPC700 emulation? Certainly if they can implement complete S-DD1...

    Good compilations of old games

I've seen very few good compilations released for next-gen consoles as of late. The only good ones I can think of are Sonic Mega Collection and Mega Man AC. Why don't they make a Final Fantasy collection? Not just FFI and II, or V; but I, II, III, IV, V, and VI? It can't be THAT hard, can it...

Backing up my copy of Grandia II

Hi. I have a real DC, rest assured. But I also like using emulators, too. I just got Chanka and can get it to the bios screen. One prob, no games. I want to find a way to back up Grandia II, but it's a GDROM, so it's near impossible w/my CDRW drive. Are there other methods, too? One is by using...

    Zelda 64 menu displayed incorrectly

In Zelda OoT and MM, when I get to the menu, the graphics are really messed up. I remember that at one point I got it to look correctly, but I don't remember what I did. I currently use Glide64 ME SP8 for all my games. What can I do to get it to display properly? Here's a screenshot from OoT.

    ePSXe settings being mirrored

Okay, here's the situation; both my brother and I have separate directories for ePSXe, so that we can have our own savestates and so on. The problem is this, when I make a change in my directory's emulator, the changes I make are mirrored to my brother's Epsxe and vice versa. How!? I've tried...

    Minor GPU/SPU issues

The Rice's Video plugin has many issues with my N64 ROMs. The list is as follows; The DirectX API causes vertex clipping, no reflection in texture (such as the Zelda 64 intro, the "N" logo). Causes HUDs in games to look chopped up, divided in weird places. Water in some games is, oh how shoud I...

    A few N64 ROMs w/audio issues

For some really stupid yet screwed reason, when I use the Direct X API in Rice Video plugins (any version), the audio gets screwed up in games. Some of the games that are affected are Bomberman 64: The Second Attack, Mystical Ninja 64, and Goemon's Great Adventure. The sound is screwed up no...
