    Motherboard capacitors

Lately, I have been reading posts about faulty capacitors on motherboards and thus I started checking the capacitors on all of my motherboards.

OMG!!! I hope that emulator authors arn't going to get sued by Nintendo of America

According to an older post, it appears that some Nintendo officials want to have emulation criminalized!!! Some Nintendo officials think that emulators are just for pirating Nintendo games :(.

Has WindowBlinds ever cause Windows XP crashes on people?

Once, already, Windows XP Pro crashed with: ***STOP: 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER --------------------------------------------------------- When I wasn't even running squat for 3D applications. I just was surfing the internet with Mozilla Firefox 0.8 on another PC I have. When I...

    A 1964 0.9.9 bug that affects Windows 98 found

While playing Goldeneye 007 full screen one day, while the emulation was stable, I discovered that I couldn't exit 1964 at all!!! Thus I was forced to do a hard reboot, push the reset button just to exit 1964!!! Apperently, 1964 is stealing focus and thus was unable to close 1964 :(.

The dreaded faulty motherboard capacitor outbreak!!!

Has anyone around here been a victim of the dreaded faulty motherboard capacitor syndrome? People on the internet seem to be bringing up the topic about popular motherboards having faulty capacitors. There's been news on the internet about corporate corruption causing motherboards to have...

    Strange motherboard problem

When overclocking my 256 MB Kingston ValueRAM PC2100 DDR SDRAM to 150 mhz, it was fine. Memtest86 had been running for at least 8 hours with still no errors, then all of a sudden, the power went out briefly. After, the motherboard refused to power on and thus I was forced to unplug the power...

Athlon XP T-bred 2000+ OC problem

G** d*****, Is it possible to get my Athlon XP T-bred 2000+ processor to overclock to 2.1 ghz and possibly beyond without getting a different motherboard and/or increasing the Vcore to 1.85V or higher? At 2048 mhz, it seems to be stable, because Prime95 was ran for two hours with 0 errors and...

I can't wait to upgrade my processor and RAM!!! W00t!!!

I'm planning to get: An Athlon XP 2400+ processor and some Kingston PC2700 DDR SDRAM, even if it's Kingston ValueRAM, because I trust Kingston DDR SDRAM, because it has *NEVER* given me corruption problems and I was able to overclock my Kingston ValueRAM PC2100 DDR SDRAM to 143 mhz. When the...

    GoodN64 ROM codes

True bad ROMs will have a "[b1]" *NOT* "[f1]" or "[t1]". "[f1]" is a "fixed" ROM, which means that it was converted from PAL to NTSC, vice versa and/or had the anti-copy protection cracked. An example would be Jet Force Gemini. "[t1]" means the ROM was hacked to include a trainer. Also, a ROM...

    OS compatibility

I haven't started Dreamcast emulation, if I'm going to ever start Dreamcast emulation, I wish there would be Windows 9x support in the future, if possible.

    Getting repeatedly port scanned!!!

Has anyone else lately been getting port scanned within every approxmately 5 minutes, every approximately 15 minutes or 1 hour? If anyone else has been getting repeatedly port scanned, the cause probably is the Sasser virus. I'm using Sygate Personal Firewall 5.5. I believe the Sasser virus...

    The Linux kernel compiling blues!!!

Does anyone know why when I run make install, the error message about __PAD array being too large appears and then the error message "Error 1" appears? This is with Mandrake Linux 8.1 and Kernel 2.4.8.

    New to Linux!!!

I'm definitely a n00bie to Linux and thus I'm having major troubles configuring a 56k modem that's apperently supported. I'm using Mandrake Linux 8.1 and I'm required to post from Windows, because I cannot use the modem on my other PC with Linux installed on it. The modem on the PC with Linux is...

My Athlon XP T-bred 2000+ processor was purchased on July 1, 2003

I have a major question here. Is my Athlon XP T-bred processor early enough to have an unlocked multiplier? I'm asking, because if I want to overclock my Athlon XP processor just by raising the multiplier, that is, none of this overclock the FSB thus being required to get expensive PC2700 DDR...

Radeon 9600 video cards more unstable than Radeon 9500 video cards?

The Radeon 9500 video cards are often too expensive, but the Radeon 9600 video cards seem to have a lower price and are supposed to at least perform the same if not better, but have been seeing posts about Radeon 9600 video cards crashing PCs.
