why the DX plugin doesn't work??

anyway, Great Work, Dudes, Great Work

Running Zelda: TP on my PC below at 15~18 fps.
Not 100% yet, there is no sound, but i can play a bit of this great game!

There is some forecast when sound will work?

thanks ;D

They will fix this when they are in the mood to do so. Keep in mind the developers are doing this out of free will and arent payed or anything like that.

It's not a matter of mood, but of inadequate documentation of the Gamecube's sound hardware. At least that was my understanding.

No. The sound hardware of the Gamecube is rarely documented anywhere, so until they are able to achieve more/better documentations of it (assuming they ever do...), then there is not very much that they can do.

I don't buy all this "lack of documentation crap" or if that even matters. The team already has sound working perfectly in dozens of Wii games with no documentation. Many GC games run worse than Wii games now. The devs just put their effort into what they feel like doing, and Wii support seems to be on the top of the list.

Error in Metroid Prime after the movie ends. Camera enters the "head of samus" and the emulator crashes with the following error: "Invalid memory region (0x3c888889)"

:) Good luck. I'm amazed already some games run smoothly with sounds.

Starscream, who do you think is more able to put complex sound commands on Gamecube/Wii games? Nintendo themselves (the original manufacturers and developers of their own consoles), or the third-party companies eager to rush out their next project and make more money?

On another note, I got carried away in the screenshots thread (here).

I don't know what you're getting at here. It does not matter if it's Nintendo themselves or a 3rd party game maker, everyone has to follow the format Nintendo has setup for sound to work in games.

If you think it's as straightforward as you say it is, then why don't you help out in the SVN. Dolphin is open-source, remember.

You're a bit crazy. You asked a question and I answered it. Who the hell said they wanted to join any team and start open source deving? The next time you ask someone a question and they answer it, try to respond to that and not go off on some other topic. If you find yourself stuck with nothing left to say, just stop posting at that point.

Oh boy, this is how you're contributing to this thread?

I said "I don't know what you're getting at here." because the guys last post had nothing to do with mine, but answered his question anyway.

Get a grip there sonny, learn to read.

Instead of ignoring the post you are going off-topic again. Congrats mr. Hypocryt.

I wouldn't waste any more time on a loser like DjPong, Urban Zombie. The kids mother really should take away her online time to keep her from making a fool of herself any further. :)

Wow, this little pissing match really makes everyone involved look totally cool! For our next cool trick, let's give a cookie to the first person who doesn't respond to any of the past eight posts - starting now!

One thing that confuses me, is that in Zelda: TP, in Faron woods (Past the bridge, into the other area), there is about 10-15 fps. You would think that is because there is a lot to process...But i cheated my way into Hyrule field, and it is MUCH faster there, a whopping 30 fps. And it is a MUCH bigger area, undoubtly more to process, more enemies, and there was a (pretty cool) storm going on, which gives even more to process.

I´m thinking that it is related to Luigi´s Mansion, in a way. In the main hall, it used to be slow, while larger areas, with ghosts and moving furniture and whatnot, was faster.

Probably needs some more coding. I was pretty damn surprised over how freaking fast it was in Hyrule field, though. Damn...It NEVER moved below 30 fps.

If he's off-topic what are YOU doing?:bouncy:
I'm not complaining about people posting off-topic like that hypocryt does.

O my god! That really hurt! I feel highly offended! Not... lol.
Unlike you I don't live at my mom's anymore.

And about the "waste your time" thing. Did your mother took away your online time?
