Zelda MM Issue: Framerate Fixed @ ~17FPS

Hi there. I have a problem with Zelda Majora's Mask. The title is pretty self-explanatory. Whichever settings I apply to the plugins, I'm getting the same Framerate: about 17 frames per second. That seems to be the original game speed, because if I disable the "speed limit" feature everything goes freaking fast, and the audio becomes chipmunk. Ain't a way to render the game at 2x or 4x the original but keeping the audio sync?

Happens with every emulator and every plugin, I'm posting it here however because Pj64 is my favourite one.

Aside from this, game looks gorgeus with 16x Anisotropic and 8x Antialiasing @ 1380x768. Some screenshots (downscaled for your convenience):

I just want to unlock the framerate restriction.

Thank you in advance and sorry for my crappy english :p

You can't change the hardcoded speed of the game, nor is Project64 at a point where you could choose the speed multiplier for the emulator (similar to, say ZSNES).

So no.

btw, I hope that you're not playing the PAL version.

Adding to what Agozer said, the NTSC version of Zelda:MM has a fixed framerate of 20 fps. The PAL version ran at a slower framerate (17 fps).

PAL conversions for the original N64 in general were rather sloppy, so PAL games tended to run noticably slower. Stick with NTSC if you can.

Damn. I wanted so badly to play this one at a nice framerate... Anyway, it's nice to replay Zelda MM, probably the most obscure and adult Zelda game. I have my N64 just here, but in a 22 inch Samsung @ High Res, with the Xbox360 Controller, it's just perfect. I just hope some day we'll be able to override that stupid lock.

I'm using PAL version, I'll sacrify those 3 extra FPS for playing in Spanish (my mother tongue).

Thanks guys.
