From what I read, it should run just as well as the other people (even those with the super high end systems). However, it will not run fast for ANY of us, with current hardware technology. ;) Hope I answered your question.

And that is what the FAQ says. And from what I read from the question, it sounds like "how many FPS can I get?", not "is still as good as everybody else's computers?"

No, you read wrong. He asked whether his computer could run the emulator. Not HOW it would run.
But, I just decided to add a bit of useful information, rather than telling him how BADLY it would run. For me, comparisons are more useful than bland statements. And more so when he has read the FAQ.

Yes, of course it was, but so again, that question is a bet vague? Can it run it? Definetly. Can it run it well? No way. Hence I formulated it to "how many fps can I get?"

And let's be realistic here - comparing how it runs to other systems is pretty useless or irrelevant. Either your computer runs it well or it doesn't, And you yourself stated that you should only offer answer to the question, not "alternative solutions."

Either you're confused, or you've misread my post - I was not offering an "alternative solution".

Yes, well, that's of course your opinion.

You were offering additional information, just as I commented before. Use a GC - it plays flawless. Additional information AND a different solution. I do not see how these two "additional information" differ from each other.

Yes, well, that's of course your opinion.
Now, let's see...
The first thing to ask would be, can my system run it, and if so, how well?
The second thing to ask would be how can I make it run faster then?
How does comparing to other systems help? To get an idea of what you need to run it well? That's what the second question is for - and it is a much better thing to ask, because it will give a definitive answer. An answer that is correct, saving you from guessing what needs to be done to get better performance.
You could compare to a system that has a better processor AND a better gfx card. You might draw the conclusion that you would need BOTH to run the emulator better, while that is not the case. When asking, you would understand that only a better processor is needed.
And furthermore, the FAQ clearly states that no computer can run the emulator well, so again, what is the point of a comparison to another system? It's all useless anyway!
