Donkey Kong 64 Minor Graphics Glitches

Just wondering if there are any Graphics plugins out there that resolve the minor graphics glitches in DK 64 that cause random, excess polygons to appear between characters (usually the player cotnrolled monkey) and terrain objects? It's not something that greatly affects gameplay, but it's quite annoying in the long term.

I've so far tried the game with multiple versions of Jabo's Graphics plugin and Rice's BETA10 Graphics plugin. They both give pretty much identical performance. The error consists mostly of excess coloured polygons seeming to "shoot" from the player-character to the right or left screen edges.

Any way to solve this? Or am I just gonna have to live with it? :)

Thanks in advance.

The problem can be greatly reduced by enabling sync game to audio and getting the latest RDB (or switching the CF to 1, which is what the new RDB does).

Thanks for the reply.

Pardon me for asking, but I'm relatively new to this whole emulator business. What does 'RDB' stand for?

As for the 'Sync Game to Audio' Suggestion, that seems to have helped greatly. :)

RDB = ROM database. Abbreviations can be found in the Glossary section of the user manual.

Rom DataBase. It is the file (Project64.rdb) that contains individual settings for each game.

EDIT: Clements beat me to the punch.
