WMP control thingy not working!

Something strange has happened to my WMP. The mini WMP control player on the tool bar won't work, meaning I can't adjust the volume, change tracks, etc without opening up WMP which is a real pain.

It all happened after I got my new video card/RAM and a new mother board (The old one died at the shop which is why I have been in a vacuum for one week)

Apart from that WMP works fine. I don't want to reinstall WMP 10 cos I'll loose track info and stuff.

Does anyone know how I fix it? I use WMP religiously so I really need this problem corrected.

You have to reinstall. I recommend going back to WMP 9 and then reinstall WMP 10.

Why do you have to reinstall WMP 9 before reinstalling WMP 10?

I mean... when you uninstall WMP 10, it says somewhere "Go back to last version". Click on that so that it goes back to WMP 9. Then install WMP 10.
