Zelda OoT Why does it take long for menu load?

Why does it take so long to open up the menu in Zelda Ocarina of Time? Is it a video problem?

Spec:
Pentium 4 2.4ghz
ATI Radeon 9500pro
pc2700 256mb

Core problem. Enable the subscreen delay cheat in the Cheat options to fix.
