Zelda-OOT BEta

hey, I have project64 1.6, and when Im in the cheats menu for Zelda OOT 1.0 , and It says beta, and under "Beta" theres 4 things to click "Lean, Beta quest,, strange places, interface", I go to the "notes" of "Beta Quest" and it says activate it after the n64 logo, well I do that, and I still do NOT get beta quest, it just brings me back into my original game/saved game.

Also Each cheat has like a "( )" beside it, well Lean is automatic, and to use strange places you hold "R" when entering somewhere, but "Beta Quest" and "Inferface on/off" have a "(=> ?)" beside them, what does that mean?

Also, how do I add gameshark codes into PJ64?

Please please and sodding well well please anyone: before asking how to use the cheat system read the user manual or go to the site. It really gets boring as hell having to answer the same question over and over and over again when i wrote the answers years ago so i wouldn't have to.
