Zelda Majora mask; cannot find saved games after transffering to a different computer

I had games saved on the zelda MM rom, but now after i tranferred the rom to a different computer it does not have any of the progress saved and i have to start all over again. any solutions?

Did you copy the save folder (in the PJ64 folder) over as well?

no i didnt i thought my backup would do that

negative, it saves in the save folder in the pj64 root

The entire concept of any ROM (as in, Read Only Memory) is that the actual contents are never altered. Each N64 cart has it's own chip or battery that is used to stored saved data. From an emulator perspective, this is the same as creating a file whenever you save in the game.
