Of course the only way to do it without converting is you have to buy the OEM version of XP.

You dont have to buy XP OEM to boot from the cd and make a NTFS file system.. Go to Microsofts website there you can find a Program to make a Windows XP Boot Disk You'll need 6 empty disks and it will load the nescasary files for windows setup, then your pc will reboot, then it will ask for the cd and then it makes a NTFS Partition without converting

Using ntsf without windows 2000 or xp will cause troubles.
I do not recommend doing that. I don't in general anyway.

Um of course. 2000, and XP are the only operating systems that support NTFS. Well, I think NT4 might too, but I'm not sure.
