Wired Xbox 360 controller for windows, joystick help?

Picked up this USB controller couple days ago and tried to play the games with the emulator. The emulator during emulation won't recognize up, down, left, or right regardless if I set it to the d-pad or the left analog stick, but they'll register just fine when I'm setting up in configure input. All the other buttons work fine.

Never had this problem with an wired xbox controll and jabo's input plugin.
Remember to check the option "plugged in" ?
I could also upload a configuration if you like.
