Why Saves files too big ?

I want to ask about the large size of pj64' saves
it take 4 mb without compresion and in 1964 it take only 700 kb without compresion

So, why ?

When you make a save state you're dumping the contents of the N64's RAM, which is 4 MBs (8 MBs with the expansion pack). 1964 compresses save states by default.
